1900	Midland Chemical Company merges into Dow Chemical.
1901	Herbert Dow institutes a profit sharing plan with employees.
1904	Dow establishes its own sales department.
1906	Dow produces its first product for fruits and flowers, giving rise to the company's agricultural chemicals division. Dow produces sodium benzoate as food preservative.
1908	Agricultural chemicals division established based on a spray for fruit trees.
